Our client a Global Leader in Energy Technology is seeking to hire a Field Service Engineer. This is a long-term opportunity based in Reno NV.
You will make impact with the following responsibilities:
- Installation testing commissioning and start-up of LV and MV power distribution equipment.
- Troubleshooting maintenance training and consulting.
- Will develop test plans for complex relay systems and successfully test and troubleshoot those systems.
- Ability to develop switching procedures Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and advise on electrical safety matters related to scheduled work and unscheduled work.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in field service and / or industrial engineering technical support.
- Experience with low and medium voltage Switchgear.
- Knowledge and/or experience with breakers or high voltage equipment testing including analyzing test results and equipment condition assessment.
- Skilled in troubleshooting & repairing electrical control circuits.
- Experience working with different manufacturers relays to include but not limited to SEL Siemens SIPROTEC and GE Multilin is a plus.
- Must be familiar with OSHA safety practices and perform duties within specified guidelines to ensure safety of self and supporting crew.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States.
Compensation: Strong Pay Rate Per Diem for non-local candidates Paid Travel Expenses among other perks
