Bruker is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director of Business Process Optimization (m/f/d) to lead our global team and drive transformation across core business processes. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing our enterprise-wide process and technology strategy with a strong focus on optimizing SAP enabled business processes ensuring governance facilitating change management and promoting cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with deep expertise in SAP and end-to-end business processes such as Record to Report (R2R) Procure to Pay (P2P) Quote to Cash (Q2C) capable of influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across global teams. This role requires strong business acumen the ability to understand and challenge business cases and the confidence to lead high-impact forums such as the Executive Strategic Steering Committee (ESSC). The role will also require building leading and developing a high-performing global team.

Responsibilities

Lead Governance functions (Project Management Collaboration Testing Data Management) and functional solutions (R2R Q2C P2P) in end-to-end process design and requirements development to standardize and simplify global processes improve efficiency and deliver value for Bruker.

  • Develop and maintains the Bruker Standard Template and documents standard processes with a focus on promoting common processes and practices globally across the company.
  • Work with business partners and serves as the primary driver of Group and Division business process rationalization across Bruker.
  • Work closely with SAP Competency Center (SAP CC) / internal IT to coordinate non-Business System Organization system landscape changes to ensure minimal impact to Business Systems Organization (BSO) incorporate into the Commercial Template (as needed) and improve ongoing business efficiencies/support needs are met.
  • Work closely with BSO technical/project organization to properly transfer these processes and requirements into the ERP System design and the interface between ERP and CRM.
  • Principal advisor to the BSO Project Leader ESSC and the BSO implementation team on matters relating to the business processes required to meet the needs of Brukers global businesses supported in the Bruker Commercial Template

Launch planning elements on behalf of the BSO Project leader for the implementation of the Bruker Commercial Template related to objectives scope deliverables budget and business resources in line with global strategic and business planning.

  • Works closely with BSO Project Leader to develop and publish timeline BSO budget and technical resources required for overall and individual rollout projects and provide the BSO Project Sponsors ESSC and Business leaders with regular high-quality progress updates.
  • Lead site preparation in advance of BSO commercial entity implementations of the Bruker Commercial Template.
  • Support successful completion of commercial entity rollout/implementations as the primary Corporate representative from a business perspective and end-to-end global process owner.
  • Effectively utilizes project management and process improvement techniques to support BSO and other implementation activities.
  • Conduct post-implementation effectiveness and satisfaction reviews; identifies corrective actions as needed. Contribute to BRKR knowledge-building by sharing lessons learned.

Communicate work and manage effectively across the companys matrix organization and serves as a visible and effective ambassador for the Finance Leadership BSO lead and Executive Sponsors. Promote effective lateral communication and coordination across groups to improve efficiency and links BSO and BPT objectives to company and functional priorities at the appropriate level of detail in understandable business language.

Communicate effectively and works closely with business partners in IT Corporate Finance and Administration Group and Divisional Finance Group and Divisional partners in Order Execution Supply Chain Procurement and Production and legal entities to ensure that business support needs are consistently met. Remain current with trends in Brukers industry and business.

Manage a dedicated team of BPO professionals in multiple work locations. Develop and maintain a high-performing organization including full-time and part-time resources from the business operations and finance teams. Ensure team members are clear on their roles responsibilities expected deliverables and are motivated to achieve BSO and BPO objectives. Actively develop talent and contribute to the development of future leaders considering strategic competencies knowledge skills and experiences. Periodically measures team satisfaction to identify and implement corrective actions as needed.

As needed manage external advisors/consultants and effectively incorporates their input and best practice recommendations into the Bruker Commercial Template design. Effectively utilizes consultants and other external resources to achieve BSO and BPO objectives.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree required. MBA or related advanced business degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years hands-on experience in an established Business Process Optimization team of a highly matrixed and decentralized organization (Groups Divisions Legal Entities) with an outstanding and successful track record and minimum of 5 recent years in a global BP leadership position.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office with Excel and PowerPoint expertise.
  • Expert hands on SAP ability with recent experience implementing SAP in a complex business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain commitment and coordinated action for initiatives and maintain effective working relationships across the company at the divisional functional and corporate level.
  • Verifiable success leading teams consisting of process owners key users and technology experts across international boundaries.
  • Possesses leadership competencies collaboration influence communication drive for results business insight process improvement critical thinking analysis and talent development.
  • Capable of understanding the business needs supporting their requirements and delivering practical results with a proven ability to think strategically about business issues.
  • Excellent verbal written quantitative technical influence and interpersonal communication and presentation skills with English fluency required.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize manage multiple deliverables and work effectively across time zones with all levels of the organization to achieve results and meet deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen and judgment and current knowledge of Brukers markets/products and industry trends.
  • Provides a hands-on approach with a strong customer support orientation.
  • Strong business analysis that generates business insights which add measurable value including knowledge of current trends in ERP implementation best practices.
  • Excellent at workload prioritization resource and project management Uses process excellence techniques to develop and manage processes that are effective and efficient.
  • Effective at driving transformational change and managing teams to achieve desired results.

  • Proven leadership track record in influencing senior management at the Corporate Group and Division levels across the company.
