The Opportunity:

Medcan Health Management is seeking a Family Physician (Locum) to join our expanding medical staff of over 90physicians.

You will maintain a relatively small rostered practice giving you the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while you enjoy market-leading compensation and incentives and the time you deserve professionally and personally to balance work and life.

This is a part-time contract position set to support for 12 months ideally starting in February 2026. The position is scheduled for at least 3 days in clinic Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm between different clinic sites.

There is also the opportunity for long-term opportunities at Medcan such as starting your own rostered practice.

What Youll Do:

Provide in-depth compassionate and preventative primary care to a relatively small patient roster.
Build strong relationships with your patients and take the time to understand all interconnected aspects of their health and wellness journey.
Uncover insights from same-day testing conducted by our dedicated team to provide clinical recommendations and health guidance for your patients.
Create compressive treatment plans and leave referrals and other administrative duties to our dedicated team.
Engage with and learn from our extensive team through daily lunches on-site continuing medical education and all other innovative product development initiatives on the go at Medcan.

What Youll Need:

Strong service-minded approach to providing excellent comprehensive care
Empathetic and collaborative working style to engage our diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
Commit to working at Medcan for a minimum (3) days per week (one virtual day could be considered).
Ability to maintain a patient roster within (1) month of onboarding.
Current registration in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
An active OHIP billing number
CCFP designation CCFP (EM) designation or FRCPC designation
Experience in preventive care and wellness is an asset

Remuneration is a flat hourly stipend rate of $200/hr with an estimated 24 hours of work per week.

Pay Transparency:

Compensation for this role exceeds $200000 annually (based on full-time hours) and may include additional benefits and/or incentives. Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidates experience and qualifications within the roles compensation grade. Medcans compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills market value and internal equity.
