About the Role
Martide Manning Latvia SIA is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manning Officer to join our crewing this role you will be responsible for the effective planning coordination and management of seafarer assignments for vessels operated by our international clients. You will play a key role in ensuring safe manning compliance with maritime regulations and smooth crew changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate crew assignments rotations and reliefs
- Ensure vessels are manned in accordance with Safe Manning Certificates MLC 2006 and flag state requirements
- Coordinate crew changes travel arrangements visas and logistics
- Verify seafarer certification medicals and documentation
- Maintain accurate crew records and update crewing systems
- Liaise with shipowners managers recruiters and seafarers
- Monitor crew performance and contract compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and international maritime regulations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of manning and crewing processes
Requirements
- Previous experience in crewing or manning within the maritime industry
- Good understanding of STCW MLC 2006 and flag state requirements
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple vessels and priorities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in crewing software and MS Office
