Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Heart Failure/VAD/Transplant Team Lead provides leadership and operational support for the APP team to ensure high-quality efficient and coordinated patient care. This role combines clinical expertise with administrative oversight focusing on optimizing scheduling managing provider coverage and supporting team engagement and development. Clinical 80% Admin 20%.Key Responsibilities:Schedule Management: Develop maintain and oversee the APP schedule to ensure adequate clinical coverage and efficient utilization of team and Coverage Coordination: Review and approve PTO requests while balancing staffing needs and service line requirements. Proactively identify potential coverage gaps and implement and Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between APPs physicians nursing leadership and administrative teams. (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program. Experience3 years Of experience in advanced practice provider role required with demonstrated increasing responsibility. Licenses and Certifications(ANP) ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONER Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing. and Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing or (NCCPA) NAT COMM ON CRFT PHY ASST Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board with registered supervisor and delegation to prescribe. and Must hold and maintain current applicable American Heart Association Life Support certification(s) based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers. Current applicable (ACLS) American Heart Association Life Support certification(s) based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers PreferredExperiencePrior leadership experience.
