The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for the daily management of assigned patients in the NICU (Level III Level IV). Direct patient care responsibilities include establishing plans of care completion of admission history expert physical examinations procedures orders and daily note completion. Other responsibilities include delivery attendance at the Level III NICU sites responding to changes in patient conditions addressing nursing concerns upholding the practice of family centered care/education referrals to sub-specialists and coordination of care related to discharge including follow-up appointments.
