Schedule:(07:00 AM 8:30 PM)
Additional Shift Notes/Requirements: 3-13-hour shifts with rotating Saturdays
Job Summary
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a skilled and dedicatedMRI Technologistto join our growing team inHouston TX 77030. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise excellent patient care skills and experience operating GE MRI scanners in a hospital environment. This position offers a consistent overnight schedule and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols.
- Position patients and coils appropriately to ensure optimal image quality.
- Educate patients on procedure steps safety guidelines and expected outcomes.
- Review and verify MRI safety screening questionnaires prior to scanning.
- Evaluate image quality and ensure timely transmission to PACS.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe imaging environment including equipment and supplies.
- Accurately document patient information in the Radiology Information System (IDX).
- Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Assist physicians during imaging procedures when required.
- Adhere to infection control radiation safety and quality assurance standards.
- Engage in ongoing continuing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience using GE scanners in a hospital setting.
Education & Certifications
- Graduate of an AMA or J.C.E.R.T.-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Valid State License in Diagnostic Radiology.
- ARRT (MRI) Certification required.
- BLS Certification required.
