Position Title: Assistant Park Manager (Full-Time Salary Position)
Location: Franklin Ranch Community Park (Franklin TX)
Salary: Salary Position Scale (Competitive)
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for helping provide successful execution of special events facilitated by the
Parks Manager and Franklin ISD. Events may include Athletic Events Pavilion Rentals Sport and Outdoor
Camps Amphitheater Events Concerts Fishing Events Running Events Corporate and Company Events
Educational Field Trips and other types of Special Events.
The Assistant Park Manager will work under the direction of the Park Manager to provide our users with
the highest quality service. An Assistant Park Manager must be able to perform all duties assigned and
often under little or no supervision. We are looking for a positive energetic person who is capable of
being a great manager that works alongside all other staff at Franklin Ranch Park and helping us achieve
our goals by providing FIVE STAR SERVICE TO OUR CLIENTS.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK A LOT OF NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Hire lead train supervise and work alongside the Special Event Assistants
*Operate all aspects of concessions inventory preparing selling serving cleaning stocking etc.
* Assisting our clients with our available resources during their event so they can provide a quality event
* Provide a safe environment for all of the patrons. Be ready to enforce any park rules for the safety of
all patrons
* Assist with logistical aspects of events prior during and after events
* Set up and breakdown of all needed equipment and supplies before during and after event
* Clean park before during and after event
* Keep good inventory of equipment and supplies
* Assist/train volunteers/staff when needed
* Provide input after each event that will help us provide better service for future events
* Provide friendly high quality customer service at all times to our park patrons. Let them know how
much we appreciate them for coming to our park through our positive attitude friendly comments and
work ethic
* Clerical duties and tasks related to events
* Perform park maintenance tasks
* Provide first aid or CPR if needed
* Report any participant injuries or property damage within 24 hours of occurrence
* OTHER DUTIES as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
A SPORTS MANAGEMENT DEGREE IS PREFERRED
Knowledge Skills and Abilities to work in a customer driven position
FOOD SERVICE/COOKING AND CONCESSIONS BACKGROUND AND KNOWLEDGE IS A MUST
Must have great leadership skills
Must be able to delegate in an organized manner
Must be a working supervisor that works alongside staff to reach our goals
Provide excellent customer service to park users
Implement safety practices
Enforce rules
Maintain written records and reports
Operate equipment including but not limited to: utility carts vehicles
Must have or be able to obtain food handlers permit within thirty days of hire
First aid and CPR (not currently required but good to have)
This is a full-time salary position
Must be able to work many weekends for long periods of time
Must be able to work many nights
