About the Role:
We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer for our Technology and IT Services Management Team. The QA Automation Engineer for business applications is responsible for designing developing and executing automated test strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of business applications and workflows. The successful incumbent focuses on leveraging automation frameworks and tools to validate functionality performance and security across complex enterprise environments. The QA Automation Engineer collaborates closely with developers product owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into comprehensive test plans ensuring seamless integration continuous improvement and clear documentation that supports both technical and non-technical teams.
As the Newest Member of our Team Youll:
Design and build automated tests through the enhancement and maintenance of test automation technologies across applications like ServiceNow and Workday.
Define and implement technical approaches to solutions conduct research and development and leverage opportunities to innovate within the testing and quality domain.
Select and develop appropriate automation tests applying the latest techniques in test automation across API and UI.
Collect strategic technical and operational test metrics to assess the testing performance and provide recommendations to promote best practices.
Analyze current defects and test execution trends and extrapolate data for predictive analysis.
Collaborate with developers and other team members to identify testing requirements monitor the status to remain effective and efficient and improve the quality of the testing deliverables.
Work within an agile team to support delivery teams across testing requirements including but not limited to Functional/Non-functional Testing Integration Testing APIs Regression Testing Accessibility Testing User Acceptance Testing Production Acceptance Testing and other types of testing as required.
Drive the creation support and ongoing maintenance of the quality engineering knowledge repository and facilitate the governance and continuous improvement for quality engineering processes.
To Succeed You Bring:
College or university degree in computer science or information systems or related qualifying work experience
Must have at least five (5) years of hands-on technical work experience as an Automation Engineer or Testing Specialist.
Strong understanding of scripting Languages: JavaScript (especially for ServiceNow) Python and Java.
Experience with at least one or more Automation Tools: Selenium or TestNG JUnit Cucumber Cypress Robot Framework.
Over five (5) years of hands-on experience utilizing SQL for data validation paired with three (3) to five (5) years of expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins Git Azure DevOps) for automating build test and deployment pipelines.
Demonstrated experience in leveraging industry-standard test management tools such as Azure DevOps Zephyr and TestRail to organize track and report on testing activities.
Experience with ServiceNow Testing: ATF (Automated Test Framework) ServiceNow Studio is an asset.
