Job Summary

ROLE SUMMARY

PADCEV () is an agent for the treatment of metastatic urothelial cancer. The product was initially launched in 2019 and received full approval for front-line treatment of la/mUC in December 2023. PADCEV in combination with pembrolizumab has demonstrated significant efficacy relative to platinum-based therapy and is now recognized as the next standard of care in front-line la/mUC. PADCEV is a high priority brand within the Pfizer Oncology portfolio and is a key growth driver for the brand recently launched its initial MIBC indication in the cis-ineligible population and is currently preparing for the second launch in the cis-eligible population.

This role is focused on the la/mUC indication and evolving the narrative to produce continued growth while balancing the needs of the MIBC launch. This indication is critical to the brand and will be the main revenue driver the remainder of the brand lifecycle. Therefore appropriate attention and promotion will be vital to brand performance.

In addition this role will be responsible for developing Urology strategies to support MIBC launches. It is critical for a candidate to have a deep understanding of the Community Urologists vs Academics and how they interact and refer to Medical Oncologists. This will be a major factor to the uptake in utilization for the MIBC indication(s).

Due to the alliance and colleagues around the country candidates must be flexible with working hours to accommodate ET CT and PT time zones. Strong communication actively contributing to a positive team culture working through ambiguity quick learning agility working on a high matrix team and ability to perform in incredibly fast paced environments are critical for success on PADCEV.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead la/mUC strategies and message evolution with alliance partner(s) to create the most impactful and succinct messaging with appropriate alliance partners.
  • Collaborate with PFE and Astellas Global counterparts on key la/mUC messaging data and effectively navigate different company policies and POVs to build messaging that will lead to continued growth
  • Lead Urology Strategy and Promotion for MIBC evolve targeting messaging and tactics in preparation for 304 launch
  • Partner with Analytics and Market Research colleagues to lead la/mUC KPIs assessment and identify opportunities and/or pivot strategies
  • Ensure strategy and messaging are consistent across all la/mUC tactics by coordinating with other HCP AHP and Consumer marketers and respective agencies.
  • Serve as Brand Champion for Always On Insights Engine CMO project
  • Effectively navigate MLR across the alliance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • BA/BS degree
  • 8 years of pharmaceutical industry experience including 5 years of US marketing or marketing-adjacent experience
  • Bladder Cancer experience required
  • Extensive experience with Urologists and understanding the referral patterns and Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) coordination in Oncology required
  • 5yrs of Agency or vendor management experience including budget management
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs extract key insights and translate these into meaningful strategies for a US Brand
  • Strong business acumen including demonstrated strategic marketing and analytical thinking skills for a US Oncology Brand
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results on multiple complex competing projects in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
  • Agile mindset:Track record of pushing boundaries and not accepting status quofinding ways to deliver in the face of accelerated deadlines

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Business travel required about 20-25% of the time. Working hours may be outside of typical work hours due to different time zones.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169700.00 to $282900.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
