Are you an experienced IT professional passionate about improving healthcare through technology Were looking for an Application Systems Specialist II to join our team and support the implementation configuration and maintenance of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) healthcare applications. This role plays a key part in enhancing clinical workflows ensuring HIPAA compliance and delivering reliable technical support to healthcare professionals.
Who are we
The SRPMIC is a sovereign tribe located in the metropolitan Phoenix area. Bounded by the cities of Scottsdale Tempe Mesa and Fountain Hills the Community serves over tribal members and all persons conducting business over approximately 96 square mile area of residential agricultural and commercial lands as a full-service government entity. The Community also operates tribal enterprises in diverse industries.

What the job looks like:
The SRPMICs Information Technology department (IT) is seeking an experienced applications specialist to serve the government departments and divisions of the Community.
Under the general supervision of the Application Systems Manager youll lead business process analysis systems modeling and application support for low to medium complexity and risk systems. Youll collaborate with clinicians IT staff and vendors to ensure our healthcare applications meet the needs of the community and comply with industry standards.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for assigned clinical or business healthcare applications (EHR EMR pharmacy lab radiology dental optometry etc.)
- Troubleshoot issues related to clinical software medical devices and integrations
- Conduct workflow analysis and redesign to improve clinical and operational outcomes
- Ensure system security and compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
- Monitor application performance and implement enhancements
- Develop and maintain documentation including requirements test plans training materials and support plans
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors
- Participate in system testing and data validation
- Support cybersecurity initiatives and annual audits
The ideal candidate would have proven hands-on experience with EHR/EMR systems and healthcare workflows; strong understanding of HIPAA compliance; REDCap experience highly desirable; proficiency with Windows Server SQL Server PowerShell SharePoint and Microsoft Reporting Services; experience in project management business process analysis and training
Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in computer science software engineering or related IT discipline
- A minimum of 5 years experience in COTS software selection implementation and support
- Three (3) years experience in project management business process analysis data conversion report writing and training
