Who are we looking for

ADA Engineering a GHD company is currently looking for a Senior Construction Managerto join their Florida based team! This is an exciting opportunity to work on MDWASD Project project consists of the construction of a new Electrical Distribution Building (EDB) at the North District Wastewater Treatment Plant. The new EDB will provide power to the new High Level Disinfection facility and Injection Well Pump Station (IWPS) substations.

As Senior Construction Manager you will oversee activities associated with the new project and will work closely with MDWASD which include: drive safety culture and efficient project delivery; oversee schedule cost risk and change management; act as primary liaison with all stakeholders; lead construction teams through mobilization to closeout ensuring compliance quality and timely completion; monitor progress manage claims and payments and resolve issues.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Health Safety and Environment: Monitor and review performance against health safety and environment (HSE) key performance indicators (KPIs) and patterns of behavior within the area of responsibility. Take action to improve performance and to resolve noncompliance with the organizations HSE policies procedures and mandatory instructions.
• Construction Management: Oversee an area of a construction project with guidance from senior colleagues.
• Leadership and Direction: Communicate the actions needed to implement the functions strategy and project plan within the team
• Client & Customer Management (External): Manage important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues or oversee relationship management with a group of more transactional clients and customers.

What youll bring to the team:

• Bachelors Degree in Construction Engineering Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field of study
• PE license and/or CCM preferred
• At least 20 years of leadership experience on major construction projects; at least 5 years managing $50M project(s)
• Experience with water treatment plant projects
• Excellent working knowledge of construction scheduling; Primavera P6 in particular.
• Must be proficient with web-based construction document management platforms such as Trimble
