This is an opportunity to join the Community Engagement and Learning Directorate leadership team to provide strategic leadership for He Tohu a permanent exhibition of three iconic constitutional documents that shape Aotearoa.

He Tohu is at the heart of the collaboration betweenArchives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara and National Library Te Puna Mātauranga. TheSpecialist Advisor He Tohu leads and coordinates all functions involved with the management of the He Tohu exhibition.

  • Kaiwhakarite i ngā kaupapa katoa o He Tohu mai i te whakaaturanga tae atu ki te whakaatu i ngā tuhinga te whakahaeretanga o nga rawa matihiko tae atu ki te paetukutuku.
  • Ko te whanaungatanga tētahi pūkenga o tēnei tūranga hei ārahi i āu mahi. Ka mahi tahi koe ki te taha o ngā Whare Taonga ā ki te hunga whai panga o waho hoki.
  • Ko te arotake me te aromatawai ētahi whāinga mahi. Ka arohaehae i ngā Raraunga kia piki te kounga o te mahi

In this role you will lead and collaborate with staff across directorates and teams to ensure:

  • appropriate project management and governance for the 25 year He Tohu project.
  • a strategic whole of life and budget planning approach that supports a wider programme and an integrated national offer including He Tohu Tāmaki and Whakaura (our replica voyaging waka).
  • appropriate oversight of the exhibition including display of the documents management of digital assets including the website audio guides and interactives interpretive exhibition maintenance stakeholder relationship management guided experiences and public programming.
  • building collaborative relationships and influence with key agencies and external stakeholders
  • Monitoring and measuring service delivery and analysing data to support evidence-based approaches to service development
  • Leading and developing plans and initiatives ensuring alignment with Archives Library New Zealand and DIA strategic priorities
  • Supporting the implementation of agreed initiatives ensuring alignment between strategic goals and operational implementation.
