We are a free and confidential service for adults (18) in Liverpool who are experiencing difficulties with substances.
We believe everyone has the ability to make positive changes. We work with individuals families carers and professionals to offer support thats right for you.
Whether you need one-to-one help group sessions or access to medication and treatment were here for you.
Volunteers play a crucial role in helping us bring our vision to life and deliver our services effectively. Their dedication strengthens the quality reach and accessibility of our support allowing us to help even more people.
Responsibilities
Our mission is to help people change the direction of their lives grow as individuals and live life to its full potential. We offer service to everyone in Liverpool who is experiencing problems with drug and or alcohol.
We are looking for a health and safety conscious person and a considerate road user to drive our professionally mobile clinic vehicle to and from venues where we reduce the harm caused by substance misuse. We offer advice and equipment to enable people to keep themselves safe. We promote and deliver Needle Exchange services dispense Naloxone (an emergency counter overdose drug) and conduct Dry Blood Spot Testing (to detect Hepatitis and enable early treatment). We also engage with injecting drug users advising of the benefits of testing and safer sexual health advice.
As our volunteer driver youll plan the logistics for safe parking and checking the vehicle is fit for use on the road arranging for or reporting defects e.g. tyre replacements etc. You will need to pre plan and on occasion negotiate with staff who own or control the land we propose operating from (for example for premises access purposes and to park appropriately on level ground). Although the vehicle is group B for licensing purposes it would be an advantage if you have experience of driving and manoeuvring vehicles considerably larger than saloon sized cars. This role can be flexible.
- Interviews: Will take place towards the last two weeks of February2026
- Training: Will start on the third week of March (1 day per week for 6 weeks).
