About the role
We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Delivery Manager to join our Engineering team and help us ensure the smooth and successful delivery of product initiatives. The remit and focus of the role is to focus on planning coordination and execution ensuring product releases are delivered on time within scope and to quality standards.. Its a broad and exciting role so were looking for someone up for a challenge - if youre a diligent and communicative Delivery Manager this is the role for you.
Core responsibilities
- Planning & Alignment:
- Develop and manage delivery plans for assigned products or projects ensuring they align with defined objectives timelines and priorities.
- Translate product and business requirements into actionable sprint and release plans balancing workload dependencies and available capacity.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers Engineering Managers and Technical Leads to define scope assess feasibility and plan sequencing.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to communicate plans manage expectations and ensure alignment on delivery goals and milestones.
- Provide regular visibility into delivery progress risks and mitigation actions to ensure predictable and transparent execution.
- Delivery Execution & Oversight:
- Drive day-to-day delivery operations ensuring timely progress and quality of deliverables.
- Track and report delivery KPIs (timelines throughput quality metrics) and escalate risks as necessary.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams third-party vendors and external dependencies to ensure delivery success.
- Ensure delivery standards and Agile practices (Scrum or Kanban) are consistently followed.
- Oversee smooth handovers to Service Delivery and Support teams post-launch.
- Performance & Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency predictability and quality.
- Maintain delivery documentation onboarding materials and process guidelines.
- Participate in post-launch reviews to capture learnings and embed continuous improvement.
- Support performance testing penetration testing and load testing coordination for products as applicable.
- Contribute to team capability growth through learning and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
RequirementsAbout you
- 812 years of experience in IT or product delivery with at least 35 years in a delivery management or project leadership role.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business teams.
- Solid understanding of software delivery lifecycles technical dependencies and Agile practices.
- Proven ability to plan track and coordinate multiple delivery streams.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with focus on driving measurable outcomes.
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Bonus skills
- Proficiency in Jira Atlassian Product Discovery and Confluence.
- Exposure to delivery metric tracking tools like Amazon QuickSight.
- Awareness of penetration testing performance testing and load testing processes.
- Experience in managing product delivery for cloud-based (SaaS) platforms.
- Familiarity with key ISO standards (QMS ISMS BCMS)
- Experience in Education technology (EdTech)
