The Early Intervention Psychosocial Support Response (EIPSR) Program supports people with severe mental illness to achieve recovery independence and meaningful community participation. The program focuses on early intervention reducing long-term disability and minimising the need for acute mental health services through integrated community-based psychosocial support.
Peer Workers are valued members of the EIPSR team providing recovery-oriented evidence-based peer support informed by their own lived experience of mental health recovery. Using this unique perspective Peer Workers foster hope build confidence and support clients to pursue the life they choose.
Peer Workers contribute across service delivery including intake processes group programs service promotion and case reviews. They work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues clients carers and community partners to deliver coordinated person-centred recovery support.
