Job Summary

NYUs Moving Image Archiving and Preservation (MIAP) MA is a two-year interdisciplinary course of study that trains future professionals to manage and preserve collections of film video digital and multimedia works. MIAP provides prospective collection managers and archivists with an international comprehensive education in the theories methods and practices of moving image archiving and preservation. The David Booth Department of Conservation is proud to provide graduate students the opportunity to complete their semester internship in a conservation studio under the supervision of experienced conservators.

Non-MIAP graduate students are not eligible to apply.

Duration: 14 Weeks

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in the NYU MIAP MA Program
  • Selected for MoMA placement by MIAP faculty and Academic Program Manager
  • Available in the Spring 2026 semester

All Interns must be authorized to work in the United States and must secure authorization to work at MoMA prior to their program start date either independently or with the assistance of their university. Securing work authorization is the sole responsibility of the candidate.

Start Date: January 26 2026.
