The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Production Engineering Senior Manager in Everett WA to support the KC-46 team.

The KC-46 Production Engineering Senior Manager leads KC-46 Liaison Engineering (LE)/Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Production Engineering (PE) managers and engineers to support KC-46 build testing and delivery at EMC (Everett Modification Center) Boom Shop EDC (Everett Delivery Center) and MDC (Military Delivery Center). They provide leadership planning coordination and people skills to KC-46 Production Engineering organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to plan coordinate and manage daily implementation of Production Engineering organization at all build locations.
  • Collaborate with BCA Production Engineering LE/ME/Tooling (TE) teams as needed to help integrate Commercial Derivative Aircraft SOW across BDS and BCA.
  • Ability to multi-task and effect immediate recovery plans for unplanned events.
  • Work closely with Production Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering Liaison Engineering Operations Quality and Customer Representatives on 767-2C and KC-46.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 5 years management experience.
  • 10 years engineering experience.
  • 5 years production engineering experience.
  • Experience in management of Material Review Board (MRB) performing MRB product review.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Substantial manufacturing engineering domain knowledge as manager and individual contributor is preferred.
  • Knowledge of production engineering processes and tools.
  • Experience with large-scale production improvement implementations.
  • Coaching guiding and leading production improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple groups and functions.
