Job Summary
Hybrid Cloud Network Architect
Location:Boston MA (Hybrid 3 days in office / 2 days remote)

A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking aHybrid Cloud Network Architectto design modernize and operate enterprise-scale hybrid network infrastructure across on-premises environments and public cloud platforms. The Opportunity
This role sits within a centralized technology organization supporting a diverse global investment platform. Youll play a critical role in architecting and evolving secure scalable and automated network environments spanning data centers offices and cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure).

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Engineering
- Design implement and maintain hybrid network architectures across on-prem and cloud environments
- Integrate cloud and on-prem networks using Direct Connect ExpressRoute VPNs and secure routing strategies
- Architect and support enterprise LAN WAN wireless and SD-WAN environments
Cloud & Automation
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption for network provisioning and configuration
- Build and maintain automation workflows using Terraform Git and scripting (Python/Shell/PowerShell)
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines enabling consistent auditable network deployments
Operations & Optimization
- Support global network operations across North America EMEA and APAC
- Manage carrier services and connectivity providers
- Monitor troubleshoot and optimize network performance reliability and security
- Maintain clear architectural and operational documentation
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents
Security
- Administer enterprise firewalls (policy management VPNs optimization)
- Implement network access control and segmentation solutions
- Ensure compliance with internal security standards across all environments
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of enterprise-level routing and switching experience
- Hands-on experience withCisco and/or ArubaLAN WAN and wireless infrastructure
- Strong knowledge ofBGP OSPF VLANs STP QoS
- Experience withcloud networking in AWS and/or Azure(VPCs/VNets routing connectivity)
- Strong experience withInfrastructure as Code ideally Terraform
- Proficiency with Git and modern development tooling
- Scripting experience (Python Shell or PowerShell)
- Experience designing and documenting complex network architectures
- Background supporting secure highly available enterprise environments
