Junior Associate – Treaty Reinsurance
Job Summary

Assist in preparing treaty reinsurance submissions slips cover notes and endorsements

Support brokers during placement by gathering quotes updating quote sheets and coordinating negotiations

Collaborate with underwriting teams to review portfolio data and underwriting guidelines aligned to reinsurer appetite

Support preparation of debit/credit notes statement reconciliations and collections/settlements
-
Prepare and maintain treaty account bordereaux (premium and claims) on a quarterly basis
-
Assist with cash loss claims documentation and settlement follow-ups
-
Maintain accurate records across placements technical accounts and closings in internal systems
-
Contribute to portfolio reviews exposure analysis and underwriting file preparation
-
Analyze treaty performance utilization reinstatements and accumulations
-
Support senior brokers/underwriters with draft recommendations and analytical insights
-
Coordinate KYC/AML onboarding of cedants and reinsurers
-
Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards
-
Support accurate and timely data capture and transaction reporting
-
Conduct research on reinsurer appetite pricing trends and market activity
-
Prepare analytical reports presentations and pitch materials for new treaty opportunities
Technical & Industry Knowledge
-
Strong understanding of treaty reinsurance structures (QS Surplus XOL Stop Loss etc.)

Familiarity with broking workflows underwriting guidelines and technical accounting

Exposure to treaty claims and bordereaux reporting
Analytical & Data Skills

Advanced Excel and data analysis skills for premium claims and exposure data

Ability to prepare reconciliations technical accounts and management reports

Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset

Ability to work closely with brokers reinsurers cedants and internal teams

Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
Organization & Systems

Ability to manage multiple treaties deadlines and reporting cycles

Comfortable working with reinsurance and accounting systems; pricing/exposure tools a plus

Bachelor s degree in Insurance Risk Management Finance Accounting or related field
-
5 years of experience in treaty reinsurance within a broking or reinsurance environment
-
Hands-on exposure to treaty documentation technical accounting and claims administration
-
Familiarity with regional regulatory frameworks (AMEA LATAM) is an advantage
