Job Summary

Back End Developer

As our platform continues to scale and integrate with new partners we are looking for a Backend Developer to join our NYC-based engineering team. This is a high-impact role where you will work on core systems that power real-time data processing advanced retargeting and large-scale distributed services.

You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers product leaders and cross-functional teams to design and build reliable scalable solutions that directly impact how businesses engage with their customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Design develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs used across the platform.
Participate in system design and architecture reviews contributing ideas that improve performance scalability and reliability.
Identify troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues across multiple services and platforms.
Work closely with customer success support and business teams to ensure technical solutions align with real-world needs.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies tools and frameworks that improve development velocity and system quality.

Skill & Qualifications:

Strong Engineering Foundation

5 years of hands-on experience building high-performance distributed systems.
Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and backend best practices.

Technical Expertise

Expert-level proficiency in Python.
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar).
Familiarity with Java is a plus.

Problem-Solving Mindset

Proven ability to identify bottlenecks and design efficient scalable solutions.
Comfortable proposing improvements and backing them with practical implementation ideas.

Ownership & Independence

Ability to lead projects end-to-end from concept through production deployment.
Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating effectively with a team.

Commitment to Quality

Strong belief in clean maintainable code and well-structured documentation.
Appreciation for documentation as a core part of delivering high-quality software.
