The company is a deal-by-deal private equity firm focused on the insurance sector. Due to high deal flow and growing portfolio responsibilities the firm is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to support M&A activities portfolio management and deal sourcing efforts.
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for reviewing investment opportunities building financial models performing diligence managing portfolio analysis and supporting the leadership team in executing transactions. The ideal candidate is CFA-qualified client-ready and experienced in the insurance sector.
Deal Analysis & Execution
Review CIMs/SIMs and investment materials.
Build and maintain complex financial models from scratch.
Perform financial diligence research and data analysis.
Prepare investment memos reports and presentations for internal decision-making.
Portfolio Management
Support ongoing financial analysis for portfolio companies.
Monitor key performance metrics and assist with reporting.
Deal Sourcing Support
Execute proprietary deal sourcing outreach via email LinkedIn and one-pagers.
Coordinate meetings and assist in outreach scheduling.
Process Improvement & Organization
Structure and organize 100 unreviewed SIMs from the past 18 months.
Assist in streamlining deal review processes and documentation.
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.
510 years of experience in financial analysis preferably in private equity investment banking or M&A.
Strong experience with financial modeling and analysis from scratch.
Solid knowledge of the insurance sector including key players and industry dynamics.
FP&A experience a plus.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to work independently and support a small fast-moving team.
Comfortable engaging in client-facing work.
CFA or CPA certification.
VP-/Executive-level experience.
Experience working with insurance-specific data and systems.
Familiarity with deal sourcing and business development activities.
This is a high-level Financial Analyst role supporting private equity deal flow and portfolio management. The successful candidate will directly influence investment decisions and provide critical analytical support to the leadership team. Strong English communication skills are essential for client interaction.
