Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled API Lead to design develop and deliver high-quality applications aligned with business and technical requirements. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable microservices user interfaces and APIs while following Agile and DevOps best practices.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with a team of developers to design algorithms and application workflows
Write clean efficient and maintainable code based on functional and technical specifications
Implement solutions in alignment with business objectives and enterprise standards
Verify deploy and support applications across environments
Troubleshoot debug and enhance existing software systems
Gather analyze and incorporate user feedback to improve application functionality
Recommend and implement continuous improvements to code and processes
Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning reviews and estimations
Prepare and present sprint demos to Product Owners and incorporate feedback
Requirements
Experience working in Agile development environments preferably Scrum
Strong experience in software design and development using test-driven development practices
Hands-on experience building microservices using Java (8/11) and Spring Boot
Experience developing frontend/UI components using ReactJS AngularJS or VueJS
Strong understanding of API design and development including Swagger OAuth 2.0 and JWT
Experience writing unit tests using JUnit 5 and Mockito
Experience writing integration tests for microservices
Experience working with Spring JPA and databases such as MariaDB and MongoDB
Hands-on experience with container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes
Experience with DevOps tools including Git Jenkins Artifactory SonarQube and Veracode
Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automating deployments
Experience with event-driven and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka (preferred)
Experience with integration tools such as ActiveMQ IBM MQ and Apache Camel (preferred)
Experience with service discovery tools such as Consul (preferred)
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related field
