Position Overview:

We are seeking a Control Engineer to design develop and optimize automation and control systems that drive efficiency and performance in our manufacturing and production this role you will be responsible for programming troubleshooting and maintaining PLCs HMIs and other industrial control systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in automation electrical systems and industrial controls with experience in designing and integrating hardware and software solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability scalability and safety of our control systems while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The Control Engineer will report to our Director of Advanced Technology and will work onsite 5 days a week out of our office in Somerset NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop program and maintain PLCs and HMI systems for automation control.
• Design and integrate robotic systems to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Implement and oversee vision systems for quality control and defect detection.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for automated systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens Allen-Bradley) and HMI design.
• Experience with robotic systems (e.g. ABB Fanuc) and vision systems (Cognex Keyence).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g. Modbus Ethernet/IP).
• Understanding of electrical systems and schematics.
• Python and/or C programming knowledge is an advantage
