Job Summary

Design analyze and develop mechanical systems components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA).
Conduct stress thermal and fatigue analysis using FEA and simulation tools to validate designs.
Lead the prototyping and testing phases ensuring designs meet performance durability and safety requirements.
Collaborate with manufacturing quality and production teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
Prepare detailed technical documentation including design specifications bills of materials (BOM) and assembly instructions.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during production and field operations.
Stay current with industry standards emerging technologies and regulatory compliance (e.g. ISO ASME API).
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reduce lifecycle costs.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the engineering department.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
510 years of progressive experience in mechanical design product development or manufacturing engineering.
Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools such as SolidWorks AutoCAD ANSYS or similar.
Strong understanding of material science manufacturing processes (e.g. machining casting welding) and GD&T.
Experience with project management design validation and compliance with industry standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced team-oriented environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits testing or client engagements.
