Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist Outreach Schools

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 22.5 hours per week Term Time (41 weeks/year)
Salary: 22681.20 (Pro Rata)
Our client is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to deliver a high-quality OT service to mainstream schools on an outreach basis. This role involves working autonomously to provide consultancy training advice and direct therapy interventions for pupils and staff while supporting families and carers where needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Independently manage a clinical caseload across multiple schools.
- Undertake holistic assessments using clinical observation and specialist knowledge.
- Provide evidence-based interventions in line with professional guidelines.
- Collaborate with teachers class teams and multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Supervise junior colleagues and contribute to service development.
- Maintain compliance with HCPC regulations and participate in CPD activities.
- Promote safeguarding and risk awareness within the workplace.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registration and membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
- Experience working in mainstream school settings.
- Knowledge of autism spectrum conditions learning disabilities and associated needs.
- Understanding of safeguarding requirements for young people with communication difficulties.
