Your mission
- You will be a member of our interdisciplinary teams alongside colleagues from project management protein production protein crystallography medicinal and computational chemistry.
- Within these experienced teams you will be responsible for developing biochemical binding and functional assays as well as biophysical assay formats to support internal and customer early drug discover projects.
- Your focus is on plate-based assays for profiling and library screening assessing target-ligand binding or ligand effect on enzymatic activity (e.g. TR-FRET AlphaLisa luminescence FI FP FRET/BRET).
- Experience in biophysical techniques will be a plus (e.g. nanoDSF TSA MST ITC SPR).
- You will work within our state-of-the-art biochemistry and biophysics platform performing experiments and instructing lab staff. You will analyze and report your results to our customers and internal project teams.
Your profile
- You have a PhD degree in biochemistry biophysics or a comparable discipline.
- You are familiar with the drug discovery process from screen to lead and have 2 years of relevant work experience in a drug discovery environment.
- You have advanced experience with biochemical and biophysical technologies including a deep understanding of enzymology and binding kinetics and with integrating them into early drug discovery programs
- You are able to plan experiments generate and analyze biochemical/ biophysical data and report to drug discovery teams. You are experienced in discussing data from neighboring disciplines and to integrate your data in the context of drug discovery projects.
- Your positive communicative and open personality helps you to understand other opinions and contributes to productive project discussions with internal and customer project teams.
- Fluent English and basic German language skills are required.
