The opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Driver/Operator to join our WTA Maintenance team.
This role is essential to the successful delivery of our maintenance and operations programme. You will undertake cyclic maintenance duties including repairing and replacing corridor assets such as barriers signs pavements and drainage as well as carrying out pothole repairs and sweeping operations.
By joining our team you will take a hands on role in maintaining the safety efficiency and reliability of the State Highway network helping us to deliver a State Highway network we are proud of.
Shift Pattern: This position involves working on a rotational roster of day and night shifts:
Day shift: Monday to Friday generally between 7am and 7pm
Night shift: Sunday to Thursday generally between 7pm and 7am
In addition to the above you will take part in pre start meetings and tilgates operate plant and machinery while supporting labouring tasks as directed and perform essential equipment checks and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience operating plant and machinery ideally within road maintenance or civil construction. You will bring a positive can do attitude demonstrate a strong focus on safety and work effectively as part of a team.
