GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the general guidance of the medical director the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will evaluate diagnose and treat patients with diseases and adverse health conditions following the written guidelines approved by the department.
The Troy Trauma/SICU team is a collaborative supportive group of APPs and Physicians dedicated to patient care excellence for injured and critically ill patients. As one of the busiest Level II Trauma Centers in the state of Michigan we treat a wide range of traumatic injuries and acute illnesses and pride ourselves on exceptional patient outcomes. APPs on this service are trained to be able to managepatients from door to discharge. We offer educational and training opportunities for APPs interested in performing bedside procedures point-of-care ultrasound and rapid assessment of critically injured patients.
The Troy Trauma/SICU team is seeking APPs who are hard-working proactive and who are interested in a rewarding career where they can practice at the top of their scope within a supportive team of APPs and Physicians.
Shifts: Mostly midnights but other shifts as needed. Holiday and Weekend rotations.
