About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Control Centre Operator (Highways Control Room) to be part of a team responsible for the co-ordination of operational resources planning and organising road repairs on day-to-day basis and occasionally during severe weather events across Leicestershire. You will need to have the skills to analyse information from highway databases and provide this information to colleagues and stakeholders as required.
A typical task of an operator would be programming sign repairs across the county with cost efficiency and locality in mind allowing operational teams to maximise their working day. This is a Hybrid role predominantly home based working within a small friendly team as well as liaising with other teams across the department. This is not a customer facing role but you should have an understanding of good customer service. You will be supported by knowledgeable experienced team members and full training will be provided.
