Job Duties
The Licensing Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections investigations and compliance reviews of licensed child care centers family day homes and other regulated care settings. This position ensures that facilities operate in accordance with Virginias child care licensing regulations and standards with a focus on health safety staffing and program operations. The Inspector documents findings issues corrective actions when necessary and provides guidance to providers to support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. By maintaining a consistent presence in the field and collaborating with child care operators the Licensing Inspector plays a key role in safeguarding children and supporting the Departments commitment to high-quality care across the Commonwealth.
