Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate to join the Abdo Nonprofit Financial Solutions team. If you have a passion for serving nonprofit organizations while furthering your accounting experience this role is for you!
As an Associate you will manage multiple nonprofit client engagements providing specialized financial accounting and consulting services. You will play a part in various consulting projects to help nonprofits address financial operational and regulatory challenges and improve their financial efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare financial reports and conduct financial analysis
- Assist in the budget process
- Preparation of year-end audits and financial statements
- Assist in the long-term planning process for clients
- Perform analytical and detailed work with numerical data efficiently and accurately
- Utilize and develop a functional understanding of firm software and internal work flow/procedures to manage binder documentation and maintain client information
- Exercise discretion and judgment when working with confidential client matters
Ideal Associate candidate has:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- CPA or currently pursuing CPA or plans to pursue CPA certification
- Experience with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks (QBO) preferred
- Experience in a nonprofit organization preferred
- Experience with grant funding preferred
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information:
At Abdo we are committed to providing fair transparent and competitive compensation that reflects the unique skills and experiences of each candidate. The estimated base pay range for this role is $65000 - $75000. Offers are typically made below the maximum to allow room for future compensation increases in the role. The compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience education licensure certifications skills and business needs.
All employees have the opportunity to earn discretionary bonuses based on demonstration of extraordinary performance special projects or significant importance or other major accomplishments.
