Qualifications and requirements:Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN. Perform continual surveillance of multiple monitors. Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts. Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports on equipment problems to supervisor

• High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred
• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 30 days of hire date
• EMT EMT-P CNA SRNA or CMA Preferred
• Completion of Cardiac Telemetry Certification within 1 year of hire required
• Be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
