Job Summary

At Manulife John Hancock we believe in investing in the future starting with you. Our Real Estate Asset Management Summer Internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world investments while providing the support structure and development opportunities you need to grow your skills and launch your career.

This internship sits within our Global Wealth & Asset Management (GWAM) team and provides experience across a diverse real estate portfolio including assets in pre-development and value-add stages. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals and gain insight into asset management acquisitions and investment decision-making.

Position Responsibilities:

As a Real Estate Asset Management Intern you will:

  • Support the asset management team in overseeing a diverse portfolio of real estate assets including pre-development and value-add investments

  • Assist with communication and coordination among property managers joint venture partners and brokers

  • Review property performance reports and help track key operating and financial metrics

  • Contribute to the preparation of internal summaries presentations and responses to data requests

  • Support the evaluation of new investment opportunities including acquisition analyses across various risk profiles

  • Participate in due diligence activities alongside senior team members

  • Assist with financial modeling efforts including cash flow projections sensitivity analyses and rent roll reviews under the guidance of experienced analysts and managers

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelors program with an expected graduation date between Winter 2026 and Spring 2028

  • Finance Economics or Real Estate majors preferred

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • Strong analytical quantitative and communication skills

  • Understanding of real estate and finance concepts preferred

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
