Were looking for an experienced Bid Writer to craft winning proposals with us at Fulton Hogan. This role will allow you to be based in either Auckland Mt Maunganui or Christchurch offices.

By helping grow our forward work for our Civil Construction NZ business youll provide written elements of non-price attributes that contribute to winning tenders. This includes providing all answers to non-price attributes required by our clients questions including but not limited to relevant experience write ups relevant skills write ups methodology curricula vitae and other forms and schedules that may be required by a submission.

Addition scope includes:

Bid No Bid

  • Complete and distribute Civil Information for all tenders before commencement of prequalification or bid phase as applicable
  • Assist with the compilation of specific Tender Strategy documents for selected tenders

Project Information

  • Update all CVs for Infrastructure staff to reflect current roles and specific capabilities for their core function e.g. roading water and wastewater utilities rail etc
  • Update all Infrastructure project sheets within the standard template to cover the various factors typically requested in non-price attributes submissions
  • Maintain a register that outlines the various project types and list applicable projects for easy reference

Tender Submissions

  • Non-price attributes writing and editing in collaboration with the bid team
  • Manage the flow of tender writing through the various reviews including version control
  • Where required manage the tender process including running review meetings
  • Work in templates that meet the Fulton Hogan branding standards in Word and InDesign for submission documents

Were looking for someone with:

  • Holds 5 years experience in bid / tender writing ideally in the construction sector
  • Proficiency in Adobe and/or InDesign is advantageous
  • Curiosity who can weave together technical and commercial elements to create compelling content
  • Detail orientated whether editing documents or spotting inconsistencies and issues
  • Calm under pressure and able to multi-task and prioritise in a deadline driven environment
  • A confident communicator and presenter
