Were looking for an experienced SAP Technical Writer to join our Integrated Business Services team in Auckland on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Youll play a key role in supporting KiwiRails transformation journey by developing clear accurate and user-friendly technical documentation. Working with engineers asset managers and subject matter experts youll translate complex concepts into practical guides manuals and reports that help our people work efficiently and safely.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change across KiwiRail and help create consistent accessible information that supports better decision-making and collaboration across the business.

Youre someone who enjoys making the complex simple and understands the importance of clear well-structured communication. Youll bring:
- Proven experience with SAP systems and related documentation
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to explain technical ideas in plain language
- Experience developing manuals standard operating procedures and maintenance guides
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- A collaborative mindset and ability to build positive relationships with diverse teams
- Confidence using digital tools to manage and retrieve information efficiently
- Adaptability problem-solving skills and a calm solution-focused approach
- Relevant tertiary qualification or industry certification
- A full clean New Zealand drivers licence and willingness to travel as required
