Were looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Sync Apps team a core team in HubSpots Data Hub. Data Hub is one of the fastest-growing parts of HubSpots ecosystem and helps organizations elevate their data through integrations AI-powered data management etc.

Our Sync App team is mainly working on two products:

Data Sync: a real-time two-way sync platform that connects external SaaS tools with HubSpots CRM. On top of that the team is also working on
Data Studio: a brand new data ingestion platform from where data can be combined enhanced and activated upon which is now more relevant than ever in the current AI age.

They are responsible for building and maintaining the connectivity with our third party APIs and connecting with our platform layer. They will build out our generic app connection framework whilst deepening our app-specific use cases and knowledge.

In this role youll get to:

Build and maintain connections between our sync platform and third party APIs
Use and improve our self-built integration framework
Gain knowledge on the various integrations and make customer-centric decisions based on that
Develop monitoring and observability tools to ensure integration health.
Work in a high-trust environment with product ownership and autonomy.
Collaborate with teams across app integrations product and design.
Mentor more junior engineers when needed.

Were looking for people who can:

Have some experience building and operating backend services
Skilled in one primary programming language (Java or Ruby) with the ability and motivation to learn a second language on the job
Have a good understanding of integration/API patterns.
Enjoy solving technical problems and thinking through trade-offs.
Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional distributed teams.
Take ownership stay curious and are eager to learn new concepts.
Thrive in small customer-driven teams (35 engineers).
