Claro Disability Services is expanding! We are seeking Expressions of Interest from dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to work within a brand new Supported Independent Living (SIL) facility opening in Feb 2026 providing safe respectful and person-centred support to our bariatric participants.

What youll do

  • Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates) get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
  • Complex physical care: Help with mobility transfers positioning daily tasks and devices using bariatric-specific equipment
  • Medical supports: Watch for changes follow med/clinical plans and liaise with the care team if things shift.
  • Social time and participation: Bring meaning fun and community access aligned with interests.
  • Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making respect consent boost independence where possible.
  • Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds beliefs and ways of being

Who were looking for

  • A person-centered warm approach with a compassionate and non-judgmental disposition
  • Interest or experience in complex care bariatric care disability and health nuances.
  • Great communicator: listens well reads cues and adapts to different styles.
  • Reliable and professional with good notetaking and teamwork.
  • Flexible and adaptable; comfortable with changing needs and shifts.

Essential requirements

  • Strong knowledge of manual handling WHS and risk management
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support Disability or equivalent preferred
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Pre-employment medical check
