Job Overview:
The Central Control Room (CCR) is an operation center capable of running and optimizing the pipeline and air separation units that supply Lindes Calumet Area Pipeline System and merchant liquid market. This includes the operation of process equipment troubleshooting process and equipment problems minimizing production costs and optimizing system efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plant Operation:
Multiple air separation plant operation
Multiple nitrogen liquefication plan operation
Hydrogen plant liquification operation
Proficient using Advanced Control System (ACS) tools such as MPC
Multi plant optimization
Troubleshooting operation issues using data analysis tools such as Seeq and iHistorian
Pipeline Operation:
Monitor and controls the supply of product through the Linde Pipelines for safe and efficient delivery of industrial gases to the steel chemical and refining industries
Accountable for ensuring the daily product production and consumption from the Calumet Area complex is accounted for; metered and billed accurately
Hourly daily weekly production planning and operation
Optimization of utility usage between four production facilities and monitoring utility usage to ensure product is produced efficiently
Assist in monthly planning and perform weekly sales forecasts to help guide the day to day operations of 11 air separation plants complimenting compression equipment and liquefaction equipment
Serve as the primary contact for customers and residents along the pipeline system
Classifies emergencies and coordinates emergency management activities until relieved by field personnel
Maintain accurate metering/billing records energy load forecasts and daily/monthly management information reports
Review and closing pipeline dig tickets
Identifies analyzes and implements cost reduction and efficiency improvement ideas
Compliance:
Maintains personal corporate and regulatory certification and compliance
Perform all job duties in accordance to the Linde Safety Program
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Engineering Engineering Technology
2 years operations experience
Work schedules are rotating shift work to include weekends and holidays with some overtime required
Strong interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel email and work proficiently with multiple computer programs
