We are seeking a qualified Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join a dynamic cardiac team in McKinney Texas. Under general supervision this role assists physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures prepares procedural rooms and equipment monitors patient conditions and provides routine and emergency care during interventions. The specialist also contributes to staff training and participates in quality control initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including:
Arteriograms/catheterizations
Permanent pacemaker implantations
Implantable cardiac defibrillators
Peripheral and coronary interventions
Thrombolytic therapy
Perform pre- and post-procedure patient care and monitoring
Monitor patients ECG pressures and vitals; notify physicians of abnormalities
Prepare and maintain sterile fields procedural rooms and equipment
Operate RF/Cryo ablation systems 3D mapping and other cardiac procedural devices
Collect maintain and manage procedural data and imaging
Maintain inventory and ensure proper functioning of all procedural equipment
Participate in daily monthly and quarterly quality control and performance improvement initiatives
Assist with training and orientation of new staff and students
Provide patient education to ensure understanding and comfort during procedures
Respond to emergencies including administering CPR or defibrillation if required
Participate in inter-departmental committees governance and professional initiatives (LEAN 5S NOBLE etc.)
Education & Experience:
Associates degree in a related field OR
Completion of US military training equivalent to Associates degree OR
2 years of cardiovascular lab experience
Certifications & Licenses:
ACLS within 30 days of hire/transfer
BLS within 30 days of hire/transfer
One of the following:
ARRT-R Radiography
RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist)
CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist)
MRT (Medical Radiologic Technologist through TX Medical Board)
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy physiology and invasive techniques
Ability to work independently and under pressure
US Citizen or Green Card holder
