Summary:
SEH is looking for Pediatric locums to help with call coverage Jan 1-6 (a). 24 hour call coverage 7a-7a. Ongoing dates will be determined as schedules are released.



RATE CAPS FOR SUBMISSION:

Malpractice Must be included in rates.

Orientation $half the hourly/callback rate kicks in after 8 hours. Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours

On Call (Daily) $Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis

24 Hour Holiday Call Rate - $ Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis

Call Back $300-320 Per hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.

Holiday Call Back $450-480 Per holiday hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.


Average worked Callback Hours: 1.2 hours


Schedule/Availability Requirements:
  • All shifts below end the following morning at 7a.
  • Jan 1-5
  • ongoing dates will be released June-Dec when schedules are completed

  • Required Procedures/Job Duties: Newborn Inpatient Peds Circumcision Neonatal Resuscitation treatment of respiratory and infectious disease in young patients.
  • Level 1 Nursery
  • No pediatric ICU
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Support Staff: None
  • Reason for Coverage: Rebid provider

EMR Training Requirements:
  • Credentialing Preapp and full app must be completed and submitted to move provider into applicant in training to generate AD account and begin EMR account set up. Once AD account creation begins it can take up to 5 days to create account.
  • Module (learn lessons) Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
  • EMR Virtual (PPL) training Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Virtual training must be completed at least one week prior to the providers first day.
  • First Day Details - Site requires completion of EMR Modules and training before first day details can be released.
  • All candidates must complete the following EMR questionnaire and detail it in the notes section of the candidates submission at time of presentation.

Travel Preferences:
  • Preferred Lodging: Preferred hotels: Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Fort Morgan - Reference St. Elizabeth (formerly CPMC). Must ask for corporate rate when booking. No other lodging sites will be approved.
  • Air Travel: Air travel acceptable
  • Please detail any anticipated travel exceptions for example a dietary restriction necessitating specific lodging situations. Travel exception requests will be denied if this information is not part of the provider presentation. Please also indicate the city where provider will be traveling from in the travel section of the provider submission.

Credentialing Information:
  • Timeframe: ASAP - emergency/temps possible!
  • Requirements: Providers are required to participate in CO Medicaid to prescribe patients. 80% of their patients are CO Medicaid License is required to release application.
  • Requirements: Self inquiry NPDB report must be provided and CO license or Active IMLC to release preapplication.
  • Requirements: Preapp and full app must be submitted within 72 hours of receipt of initial app to allow enough time for AD account creation for EMR requirements. Once both are submitted provider is moved to applicant in training which initiates AD Account creation for provider EMR account and can take up to 5 days before release of EMR training requirements.

  • Ped Hosp Do not typically work in PED ICU situations. It might be listed wrong and should be ped floor just higher acuity Our ICU opened back up in January. Our 2 pediatricians and nurses decided they could take some older adolescents to the ICU over 50kg. Those are the listed criteria. To date we have admitted zero adolescents to the unit. If the contractor does not feel comfortable with these cases they could specifically tell me that when they arrive and we would not accept those cases during their tenure here. The pediatricians do need to be proficient in neonatal resuscitation treating respiratory and infectious disease in young patients a since that is 95-99% of the duties.

  • Patients per day. Where is call from Newborns Required procedures - From our onboarding document: 250 deliveries per year at SEH 40-50 pediatric admissions per year including through ED and direct admission. Initial resuscitation/management for all high-risk deliveries performed at St. Elizabeth Hospital (unplanned C/S fetal distress preterm).

  • Is the provider required to attend deliveries and C-sections Yes they are required to attend all c-sections in OR gear. They only need to attend some deliveries.
  • Providers are required to participate in CO Medicaid to prescribe patients. 80% of their patients are CO Medicaid patients.

Requirement description :
  • Board Certified Pediatrics - REQUIRED
  • Active CO License or Active IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission) - REQUIRED
  • Active BLS - HIGHLY PREFERRED - Required for credentialing
  • Active DEA - HIGHLY PREFERRED - Required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA however must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment not just for shifts worked.)
  • Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date - REQUIRED
  • Must be available for any of the open dates in job description to be considered for ongoing dates - REQUIRED
  • Must disclose # of shifts per month provider can offer to the team ongoing - REQUIRED
  • Candidate must acknowledge they understand the requirement to participate in CO Medicaid to prescribe patients - REQUIRED
  • Candidate must acknowledge the requirement to stay at the preferred lodging site in job description to be considered - REQUIRED
  • Clean Malpracitce/Background - REQUIRED candidates who present with a self inquiry NPDB report at time of presentation will be considered with higher priority over those that do not.
