Day Shift Hospital-Based Travel Housing Provided

We are seeking an experienced Pathologists Assistant (PA) for a temporary contract assignment within a busy hospital pathology department. This role offers day-shift scheduling and the opportunity to join a collaborative team of three PAs handling a diverse annual case volume of approximately 36000 surgical specimens. Cases include a balanced mix of small biopsies and large complex resections providing a stimulating and professionally rewarding environment.

• Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens ranging from routine biopsies to high-complexity oncologic resections.

• Assist in frozen section preparation and intraoperative consultations as needed.

• Ensure accurate specimen identification labeling and documentation in accordance with CAP/CLIA standards.

• Collaborate closely with pathologists histotechnologists and other clinical staff to support optimal workflow.

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies regulatory requirements and quality assurance procedures.

• Contribute to an efficient and positive team environment supporting departmental goals and turnaround time expectations.

• Graduate of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists Assistant program (or equivalent).

• ASCP certification preferred.

• Prior experience in a hospital or high-volume surgical pathology setting strongly desired.

• Ability to work independently and manage a varied and fast-paced caseload.
