Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will work off RCP protocols to evaluate access and treat patients in a regional trauma center. The role requires critical thinking skills and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The RRT will manage various types of patient diagnoses and operate specialized respiratory equipment.

Location:Petaluma California United States

Responsibilities:

- Evaluate access and treat patients according to RCP protocols.
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment including PB840 and Avea Ventilators 1200 LTV Ventilator ParaPac MRI Vent V60 Bipap Vapotherm Metaneb and Cough Assist Dream station Ambu Bronch Scopes and Smart Vest.
- Collaborate with nurses providers and other caregivers to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage various patient diagnoses.
- Participate in a team-oriented environment.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- PALS certification
- RRT certification
- Active California (CA) License
- Minimum 2 years of experience

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience with Puritan Bennett and Avea equipment
- Experience with Neonates Infants ICU Trauma patient diagnoses

Special Considerations:

- The facility can call off once per two-week pay period.
- Floating to similar units may be required on a voluntary basis.
