This Methodology Director will be a key member reporting to the Bermuda Chief Actuary and Head of Strategic Initiatives. This person will (1) provide actuarial methodology analysis on GAAP and U.S. Statutory frameworks on new product initiatives and regulatory changes (2) collaborate with other teams including valuation model development and assumption development for new life and annuity product development (3) participate in industry peer and consultant discussion calls related to regulatory changes and (4) work alongside our GAAP U.S. Statutory and Bermuda EBS valuation leads to identify optimal Enterprise outcome on risk management.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Shape valuation methodology for new product launches and emerging regulatory reforms (VM-22 Reinsurance AAT GOES IMR etc.)
Review existing valuation methodology and serve as the SME internally
Support valuation for product launches and regulatory reforms coordinating with SMEs from valuation and model development where applicable to steer project towards completion
Advocate on behalf of Equitable in regulatory reforms and present information on key regulatory initiatives both internally and externally
Participate in industry working groups on emerging regulatory topics
Support internal strategic initiatives including ALM balance sheet management and assumption review through cross-functional collaboration
In Office Schedule: This team member will be working in the office 2-3 days per week.
The base salary range for this position is $150000 - $180000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills experience and geographical addition to base pay Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases spot bonuses and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mathematics Statistical Economics and/or Actuarial Sciences
FSA Designation
8 years of actuarial experience
Expertise in GAAP and U.S. Statutory or related reporting and accounting frameworks
Familiarity with capital management
Established written and oral communication; experience with participating in working groups in industry committees
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AXIS
Fixed annuities and variable annuities product features
MCEV frameworks

Statistics and Actuarial Modeling:Knowledge of statistical and actuarial modeling tools and techniques; ability to apply modeling processes and techniques to facilitate risk management decisions.
