The Role
The Associate Superintendent of Human Resources works closely with the Superintendent of Schools. A member of our senior executive team the role oversees strategic human resource planning talent management employee total compensation employee relations performance management organizational/ employee development and occupational health and safety.
The Candidate
RVS seeks a proven collaborative leader with 10 years of professional experience managing the human resources efforts of a comparable organization preferably a school division or public sector organization.
The ideal candidates approach will actively demonstrate their belief that people are our greatest strength. They have built and maintained high functioning multi-disciplinary dynamic teams and have consistently demonstrated their ability to creatively solve problems while overseeing a broad portfolio of services and supports. A strong commitment to the organization is evident in their actions.
The successful candidate holds a Masters degree preferably with a human resources specialization along with a Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation (CPHR) or equivalent.
A strong advocate for the needs of students and employees the successful candidate will be able to build strong working relationships support the jurisdictions goals demonstrate compassion champion public education work collaboratively with local and provincial partners and maintain accountability for the work of the team. They balance attention to details along with an understanding of the big picture. They develop strong positive working relationships with all employees and groups representing those employees.
The successful candidate will be a personable approachable leader who is a strong communicator with a good understanding and ability to lead initiatives in support of divisional goals.
