Job Summary

AI:AT the AI Factory Austria is making Austria a hotspot for Artificial Intelligence in Europe.

AI:AT is a joint project of AIT and Advanced Computing Austria. It brings together top-level expertise in high-performance computing artificial intelligence and data ecosystems creating an interdisciplinary innovation environment for research development start-ups and industrial projects.

AI:AT the AI Factory Austria provides access to cutting-edge AI infrastructure promotes trustworthy AI and ethical standards and serves as a hub for networking with national and European partners. The goal is to work with partners from industry and public institutions to develop and implement forward-looking AI technologies and viable AI solutions.

As part of the collaboration within the AI Factory Austria the Austrian Institute of Technology will delegate experts to the AI Factory Austria. For our location in Vienna we are looking for:

Working Students - AI Services Support (Part-time: 20 h / week)

AI:AT - AI FACTORY AUSTRIA

  • You support users throughout the application and onboarding process for accessing high-performance-computing (HPC) resources.
  • You assist and review access proposals project descriptions and technical documentation.
  • You keep internal records and user documentation up to date related to resource allocation and utilization.
  • You collaborate with technical teams and partner institutions to ensure smooth user access and compliance with EuroHPC guidelines.
  • Youprovide first-level user support assisting with access credentials data management and workflow setup and proactively help resolve any issues that may arise.
  • You contribute to internal knowledge bases FAQs and user guides for AI and HPC projects.

Your qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a study programme (University / University of Applied Sciences) in Computer Science Data Science Artificial Intelligence or a related field
  • Understanding of Linux environments HPC systems cloud computing and job schedulers (g. SLURM)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
  • Interest in AI and high-performance computing infrastructure
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Excellent language skills in English (German is a plus)
  • You should be eligible for working in Austria

What to expect:

  • Start-date: as soon as possible
  • Duration: 6 months (alongside your studies) with flexibility to align with your academic progress. A contract extension may be possible as long as you are actively enrolled as a student.
  • The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (385 h / week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 38.864--.
