Job Summary
Job Title: Elevator Installation Technician
Job Summary
The Elevator Installation Technician is responsible for the installation assembly alignment and commissioning of elevator and lift systems in residential commercial and industrial projects. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards manufacturer guidelines and project timelines to ensure safe and efficient elevator operations.
Key Responsibilities
Install elevator systems including passenger lifts freight lifts and service elevators as per approved drawings and manufacturer specifications.
Assemble mechanical components such as guide rails car frames counterweights doors and machine units.
Perform electrical wiring control panel connections and basic troubleshooting during installation.
Align level and adjust elevator components to ensure smooth and safe operation.
Conduct pre-commissioning checks and support testing activities before handover.
Read and interpret technical drawings wiring diagrams and installation manuals.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations quality standards and site safety procedures.
Coordinate with supervisors engineers and site teams to meet project schedules.
Identify installation issues and report technical deviations to the installation supervisor.
Maintain proper documentation related to installation activities and site progress.
Essential Qualifications
Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Electrical or Elevator Technology.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in elevator or lift installation projects.
Experience in installing elevators from reputed manufacturers is an added advantage.
Valid trade certification is preferred.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of elevator installation procedures and safety practices.
Ability to handle mechanical tools and electrical testing instruments.
Basic understanding of elevator control systems and wiring.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
Good problem-solving and fault-identification skills.
Physically fit to work at heights and in confined shafts.
Team-oriented with good coordination and communication skills.
Additional Eligibility & Experience Requirements
Extensive hands-on experience in elevators covering installation maintenance adjustment commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
Fresh graduates are not eligible; only experienced candidates will be considered.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven experience in the elevator industry.
Age requirement: 25 to 30 years.
