We are currently looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer L1 for a full-time onsite role in Auckland New Zealand.
Position: Desktop Support Engineer L1 (Onsite)
Location: West Auckland New Zealand (Work from Office)
Employment Type: Independent Contractor
Experience: 35 years
Workdays: Monday to Friday
Candidate Location: Must be currently in Auckland New Zealand
Role Responsibilities:
Provide support for PCs laptops cabling AV devices printers peripherals phones and security equipment
Troubleshoot hardware software OS and basic network issues
Support Windows systems printers/scanners and user devices
Perform PC setup configuration and break-fix activities
Assist with basic administration of switches routers Wi-Fi access points and firewalls
Support basic datacentre and application architecture including hard reboots of onsite equipment
Configure routers and switches and integrate hardware components
Support backup tape and Exchange infrastructure
Work with internal teams on medium-complexity projects
Prepare technical reports and documentation
Communicate clearly with users and stakeholders
Requirements:
35 years of experience in Desktop Support / IT Support
Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and follow defined procedures
Fluent in the local language and good English communication
No CCNA or similar certification required
Only local candidates currently in Auckland
