Job Description Business Development Manager (BDM) OEM Sales
The Business Development Manager OEM Sales will be responsible for driving OEM partnerships and institutional sales for Loom Solars product portfolio. The role focuses on identifying developing and managing key OEM accounts across solar panels batteries inverters and energy storage solutions. The incumbent will play a critical role in expanding OEM business managing large-ticket customers and strengthening Loom Solars presence in the institutional and utility-scale solar market.
Identify target and onboard OEM partners including solar panel inverter and battery manufacturing companies.
Conduct meetings with Lead Acid battery manufacturers inverter manufacturers and OEM solar solution providers to explore long-term partnerships.
Develop business opportunities with PM KUSUM customers (1 MWp and above) and private PPA customers.
Drive OEM sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure.
Participate in exhibitions trade fairs and industry events across India to promote OEM solutions and generate new leads.
Manage and grow existing OEM and institutional key accounts.
Act as a single point of contact for OEM customers and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Coordinate internally with production supply chain finance and technical teams to ensure timely execution of OEM orders.
Monitor order fulfillment delivery timelines and post-sales support.
Prepare pricing costing and commercial proposals aligned with company margins.
Negotiate contracts volumes payment terms and long-term supply agreements with OEM clients.
Forecast sales volumes and contribute to annual and quarterly sales planning.
Stay updated on industry trends related to:
Solar modules
Inverters
Lithium & Lead Acid batteries
BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems)
Understand OEM procurement cycles technical evaluation processes and approval mechanisms.
Maintain accurate data in CRM systems related to leads opportunities and accounts.
Track sales performance pipeline status and revenue forecasts.
Prepare regular MIS and sales reports for management review.
Coordinate and guide 12 sales coordinators if assigned.
Support cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of OEM projects.
Strong understanding of solar and energy storage products
OEM sales and institutional business development expertise
Excellent negotiation communication and presentation skills
Pricing costing and forecasting capabilities
CRM tools and data analytics proficiency
Ability to handle high-value B2B and OEM accounts
Willingness to travel extensively across India
Minimum: Bachelors degree in Engineering / Business / Management
Preferred: MBA in Sales & Marketing
Added Advantage: Solar or renewable energy certifications
