Job Summary

Schedule Details
Shift: Day Shift (5x8 hours)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Primary Schedule:
MondayFriday: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Wednesday only: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Newark NY. This full-time day-shift role offers a consistent weekday schedule in a well-equipped imaging department. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety comfort and adherence to established imaging protocols.
Responsibilities
Perform MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
Ensure patient safety comfort and proper positioning throughout procedures
Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications
Operate MRI equipment and related imaging technology effectively
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
Follow infection control safety and quality assurance standards
Communicate clearly with patients radiologists and healthcare team members
Monitor equipment performance and report technical issues promptly
Provide coverage for alternate shifts as required
Qualifications
ARRT (R) certification required
MRI certification preferred
BLS certification required
New York State license required prior to start date
Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience preferred
Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and procedures
Excellent patient care communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical environment
